Be the Water

On this day in 2018, I took my sons on a homeschooling trip to the aquarium.
We had no idea that in just 6 months, the FBI would show up at our door in the predawn hours and our whole world would shatter. I studied our happy, curious faces in the photos that showed up in my iPhoto memories.
At the time, I had no idea the chapters of my story that God was about to unveil.
Be the water.
Have you experienced the sensation when you’re fully aligned with God’s will for your life? I envision it like stepping into a stream. There’s a Holy Spirit flow that happens.
People appear.
Doors open.
Opportunities arise.
Coincidences stack up one after another until you realize they’re not coincidences at all.
When you step into that flow, it feels like transcendence of human limitations of time and space.
The path unfolds in ways you never could have planned.
Sometimes when life hems you in on every side, there's nowhere to go but up.
Keep moving in the direction God is leading.
Water reminds me of that.
The same steady, patient water that flows around boulders is powerful enough to carve the Grand Canyon.

Be the water.
Stay in the flow.
Keep going.
We can no longer homeschool. But last month- 8 years later- we visited another aquarium. This one had Weeki Wachee mermaids.
Different season.
Similar goofy photos.
Same wonder.
Same reminder.
Keep flowing.
Be the water.
Where in your life have you experienced the Holy Spirit flow?
